First EOTC Week!

First EOTC Week!

Last week on Thursday we had our first EOTC day, that stands for Education Outside The Classroom. For a year I've been here I heard that they do this every year with the Trekkers which are the class 's of Ako Ngathi and Ruma Toru. The first thing we did was vote for what we wanted  to do and also we could suggest things for it, like if we wanted to go camping etc. Then in term 4 during the last 2 weeks we would do those activities, also I heard that it's very fun, now it was my time to find out.

Now at the first EOTC day, we went surfing and body boarding at Sumner which we took the bus to go there. In the bus (of course I'm with my friends) we were making jokes, laughing and playing. Then after a long ride, it was the  time to get out of the bus. Before any of us did anything  a woman introduced herself and a group of people.  In Sumner at a place which they teach children how to do surfing and body boarding, one of the people in the group  taught us how to see if the weather is good or not, it the waves  are rough of smooth and what are the dangers.

Next another person taught us what the parts of the body board are and how to ride it and the same thing for the surf board.  

After all that we were put in groups  of 3 and then were put in two groups which can be seals and dolphins  and one of us had to do that surfing and one the other.

 We were tired, we rested and had some food.

In the afternoon the seals and the dolphins have to switch whatever they were doing  like if the seals were doing surfing in the morning they would do body boarding in the afternoon.

I liked  body boarding the most because surfing was kinda tough and body boarding was a lot easier any ways bye! next up the 2nd and third part.

 

Diwali

Last, last week my group and the others was ask to do a Diwali presentation to show what we learnt about it. Our group chose the history of Diwali to make our presentation, then we made a poster. I hope you will like it, enjoy bye!

Yesterday I had finished a little Powtoon video. The video is about why I like this school, our reflection about this year and what I enjoy doing here. For me this is one of the best schools that I know and one of the friendliest. Anyway bye!

Future me

This is a story that I want my future me to see and remember.
These weeks we had to write a story for our future person will see. We had to  finish it by today, here is it .

Dear future me

In  this time that you’re reading this writing you’re about 25 or even 70 - 100 years old (if you forgot about it and the you logged into your account and you saw this) (if you are lucky to turn that old). As you may remember these are your objectives, desires and dreams, when you were about 10 years old.

Your main objectives was your career in life. You wanted to do many jobs and many positions. First of all you wanted to be a director because of your love in movies, cartoons and in anime. Then you wanted to be a doctor to heal the sick and help the people.

Thirdly you had a dream to be a youtuber and even a man who studies and look for animals. Next you dreamed of being an architect, for you to be a much better drawer and for your crave of designing buildings. After all of that, you also liked writing and really wanted to be an Author. Most of all your loved career was to be a astrobiologist, the reason you wanted to be this was, you absolutely loved fossils and prehistoric animals, so you wanted to be that kind of person.

At this time you have been wanting to travel around the world and be in different places. You have loved the world because of the nature and the people that surrounds it, so you wanted to travel around, it doesn’t matter where you were, and you are happy that you are at least there to see that place’s beauty. Yet  you like places that have many animals, calm, aggressive, venomous and even deadly.

Secondly your loved of piano and Taekwondo never vanished. Each and everyday you imagined to be a great pianist like Beethoven, and a master at taekwondo to at least protect myself and my family from danger.

Also you  like solving mysteries. You like the ocean and wanted to solve all the mysteries that are in it, even though you know the scientist only discovered 5% you never gave up and wanted to solve the remaining 95%. After you wanted to solve how was the world made and when it was made. Lastly you had wanted to solve that mystery of life, the paranormal and all the remaining mysteries.

Lastly even though this is not in your career or the thing that you want to do in life, I want you just to remember when you were a child. At your childhood you were always bad you like pissing your grandma's and great grandma off. But even though you always make them mad, you always loved them, and you get along pretty well. You loved going out with them, then  even though there old, one of your grandma always take you to school and help you buy things. All of them support, and loved you, that is why you proud to be their grandchild.
