At Term 1, we started to write a story and the genre is "Fantasy". My story is about a boy that was transferred to a world that was different from the world that he used to leave in, which is "Earth". While he was on that world he learnt a something that he had never learnt before, or have he? Here read the find out. It will have a Vol.2 but I don't know when it will be published. P.S I just forgot that I didn't upload this yet till now. Anyway have a nice time reading the story, it will take about 30-40 minutes to read all of it, so sit back, relax and enjoy or lie down relax and enjoy.
Chapter 1
It’s a nice day again, there’s no storm and the beautiful, blazing sun is up.There is cold breeze in the air, like when you are at the beach, also a nice time to visit someone.
“I’m back again!” I shouted, while I merrily wave to Mr.Gibbs. Mr.Gibbs is a bender and also a friend of mine. He sells crystals that were found in caves in here Japan, or China.
“So you're back again?” he asked. “Here I have new ones, would you want take a look?-- of course you do, here.”
Since when I was a kid I really loved crystals, and I also love to collect them.
Then I found this shop called “Mr. Gibb's Crystal Shop!”. I know, a corny name right?
But I took a look, and saw many of them that I have not seen before, so of course I ask dad to buy me all of them, and he did.
Since then, I always hanged in here almost every day to see if there are new ones, and also to talk to Mr.Gibbs.
Then, while looking at the new crystals, I had a thought in my mind. It was like somebody is trying to make me think something. My head, it was spinning, I can see, creatures near me--.
“Kid, you love crystals, right! Then, have you heard the story of “The man of two dimensions.” he whispered. It suddenly vanish, I was thankful and now...scared. I quickly shook my head side to side and I quietly said “no”. Suddenly as soon as I said that, he quickly closed the store and also closed the blinds and then dragged me to a wall. Next he wrote a mysterious symbol that I have never seen before “or have I?”. All of a sudden an entrance appeared in a blink of an eye.
Then again he dragged me, this time, down into an old stair that led to an old room…
I looked around carefully and I saw that the room he dragged me into is a library. Before I even said anything, Mr.Gibbs already took a book. It was big, old and mysterious.
“Here, I will tell you the story.” he said, chuckling.
I wondered, why would he close the store and go to this secret place to just tell me a story, is it related to me for some reason. I opened my mouth and tried to ask him but nothing came out.
“Here is the story--” he said, opening the book.
“Along time ago, there was this boy who was called, “The Man Of Two Dimensions”.
He was a normal boy in the first Dimension called Earth, but a hero on the other. That boy did many adventures, but he only kept it to himself. He also met many friends and many enemies, he battled many foes and even their king. But at his final battle he didn’t appear and that dimension had been destroyed, and controlled. After, when he came back, he saw all it was like a picture from hell. The people hated him and he didn’t come back……”
Chapter 2
He gave me the book after he told a quarter of the story.
I waved good bye, and bowed my head(an action for appreciation in Japan culture) but I didn’t say anything.
I got home, thinking about that story. I tried to read but I can’t take it, my body can’t move and my mind is blurry, being the way it is, I fell asleep...
There were three men standing, with an army behind them and one of them was holding two crystals. The crystals were red and blue in colour, they had powers, as I see. And then crystal killed many, many, men in a second. In that time I heard a voice that called my name, it was from behind me, I looked, but then, as I look, that voice laughed and laughed. As he laughed I looked at my body and saw…..Blood.
“Aghrr!!!” I shouted. My body is limp, it felt real, I was scared. When I saw those crystals I remembered something. “They were my grandfather’s crystals” I whispered.
Tonight is my parents anniversary. I hope dad will come today for dinner because it’s a special day. My dad is a really busy man he doesn’t even come home every day.
At the time when I was small, I had a dad. I still have him to day, but he doesn’t come back home most of the time because of his work. However today is different, he didn’t even bother to go to their marriage anniversary with mum.
“Mum, I’m going to get dad, ok?” I tried to smile, even though I was upset and disappointed.
However, when I was in his office, he wasn’t there. I looked around and asked his employees, but all they replied with is that dad went to come home for his anniversary. I wanted to come home but someone or something is stopping me. I looked around and I saw a big glass container and a crystal was inside,the crystal was blue, bright and shining. I have never seen it before,”No, wait I have. it was in the dream.” I said, shivering.
Although I was terrified. The way it shines made me, open the container and then touch it. I felt like I can’t control my body, it was like controlling itself.
I felt a shock went through my body, it was terrifying, I closed my eyes and shaked.
My body crashed in a hard floor. Then I tried to open my eyes, but I only saw a blade, flying, it was made out of light, and it was, ready to kill me…
Chapter 3:
I felt drowsy, my head was spinning and I thought I’d puke. Next, I realize I was on the floor.
Afterwards, I heard a voice, but it wasn’t clear.
“Hey, are y---de--d? If you’re----, answer, because-- still have many--- to do” It was a voice that was like from a boy my age, like a 16-18 year old.
I was confused I didn’t know what to do. What happen to me? Was I teleported? I had many questions. How? I guess that’s out of the question now. I need to quickly tell him that I’m not dead.
I slowly open my eyes widely and then said “H--!”
Before I even spoke a sharp thing went through my stomach, I looked at it and saw that it was a bow, but it wasn’t an ordinary one. The wound was bleeding, bad.
After, the boy who talked to me looked around and then suddenly a sword appeared in his hands. He waved it around, then all of a sudden we were teleported.
The boy carried me and laid me on a soft surface. Well I think it’s was a bed.
“My name is Jake,” I said while looking at him. My wound still hurts though, so I didn’t introduce myself very well.
As I quess he was like my age. He also had a scar in his eye, it’s a big one.
“I didn’t ask your name,” he interrupted.
“I will just get a bandage and also some other things to heal you. Anyway where are you from, Skyland?” he continued
Skyland? Where is that? But now I know this is not my world, am I hallucinating?
Maybe so, I raise my hand and pinched myself really hard. I wasn’t hallucinating, it was real.
After he came back he saw me pinching myself and muttered “Are you an idiot?”
The wound was still bleeding, and it seriously hurt.
But then, before he even tried to heal my wound. It was already healed, there were no more blood and also the arrow seem to disappear. I was confused, shocked, surprised, and so was he.
“Hey, who are you? Are you a mage? If so, why didn’t you tell me?,” he ask.
“No, I’m not a mage... ” I replied
Suddenly, something fell out of my pocket. I looked at it closely and now I know, this was my grandfather’s crystal. I touched it, and then….
“Any way, Jake or whatever your name is, I sincerely apologize for my actions. If you don’t remember, I pushed you out of the way, and then smacked you into the floor…….”he stopped.
He rushed to me, angry and also…. Happy? He grabbed my shirt and shouted “Where have you been!”
“What?! Do you know me? How?” I said, grabbing his hands.
“Of course I do! You’re my best friend, and you were the one who help me 12 years ago! Don’t you remember me, I’m Kei!” as he hugged me tightly. As I felt the warm drops of tears on my shoulder.
Chapter 4:
After that incident, when I woke he told me the whole story.
“Your grandfather was “The Man of Two Dimensions” he always helped us when we were in danger---”
Before he said anything else I shouted “wait,wait,wait,wait,wait. What?”
“Oh, didn’t your grandfather tell you that?” he replied
“Huuuuuuuh!? What do you mean he is? Are you confusing me with someone?” I said while in shock.
“Nope, I would never confused you with someone. I know who you are when I saw that scar on the side of your belly.”said Kei
“How did you know about my scar, and how did you see it?” I said
“Ahhh. I didn’t tell you yet I have an x ray vision”
When he said that I felt limp, I lost my strength and trembled.
“So you can see my private thing too”
“No, or can’t I?” he said, laughing.
“ Please don’t use your x ray vision on me, please” while again, trembling
“Ok, or will I?” Kei replied back, while again laughing
“Any way, I will continue the story. As I said you grandfather was “The Man of Two Dimensions”, as I said again he helped us when we were in danger. Then there was this time when you were 4 years old I think, and you grandfather said that you begged him to take you here. After that, you always joined him when he came to visit. But one day you and grandfather slept in here and then one the crystals was stolen. Next a monster appeared itself with the stone, and there began the war. Your grandfather fought again and again,But he didn’t defeat it. He lost.” he finished.
“I will tell you all the story later, but for now let’s have some fun!”
Then he dragged me out and then gave me a bow. We hunted creatures that were very wierd, and as he said, “had fun” ,again we were attacked…
Chapter 5:
We were trapped, there were tons of them, they were all monsters. They looked liked shadows and also very terrifying. I felt petrified, but when I looked at Kei, I saw that he was still smiling.
“Don’t worry I can take them all down, but when something goes wrong, run, ok?.” he said confidently. I nodded. At a second he was gone, he was fighting the enemies but then…
(Swooosh!)He was caught on a net! After that he shouted”Jake! Run!”. Kei was getting beaten up, then suddenly (boom!), a monster like human appeared. He was not like the others he was bigger and had a face that looked like a lion.
He was ready to kill him, and then he bit Kei’s arm off. I felt anger coming all through me, suddenly my mind blurred. I heard a man saying, “You can save him, you are the next man”.
Next thing I noticed, I had a cane, I was saying words that I can’t even understand, but one thing I really feel that my body is being controlled.
After all the monsters we’re cleared and also when my mind was back. I came to Kei and asked “Are you ok?“
“Yeah, but Jake, that was really cool! After all you're the grandson of the hero” Kei said, on the ground, again smiling.
“Can you get the potion out of my right pocket?, it will heal me”
I reached out to his pocket and tried to look for it. I grabbed a thing and then----
“Oh no, no, no, no, that’s not it. That’s umm.. Stick… that um… I found…”(Raised up),
he said quickly and nervously.
I realized that it was really another thing, you know… Once I realized I felt a little bit embarrassed, of course, and then took of my hand really quick.
“Why would you put your stick that you found, in that side!” I said madly, looking down.
“Hehehehe, well it’s more comfortable in that side, also don’t be shy. If the potion is not there look for it on the the other side.
I had a dream again. I became powerful, I was also saving the world and mostly my “Nakamas”...
Chapter 6
Next morning when I saw Kei he was back in his tip top form, his arm was back too.
“Good morning!” Kei said, while stretching.
“Want some coffee?”
“Yes please! But are you really ok now?” I asked, sitting down on the dining chair.
“Yup! Very ok!” while passing the coffee to me. “Oh I forgot! I have to tell you the story.” he continued.
“Here let’s start. Do you remember when I said that you got banned from here.”
“Yes I do.” I replied.
“In that time when you knew that, you apparently attacked them. When that happened what they did was, cut you in half.”
Huh? Did he just say that I was cut in half?
Finally I asked “Wait wasn’t the scar because of a surgery?”
“What’s a surgery?” he said
I guess that they don’t do surgery in here.
“No it’s nothing”
“Oh, ok. Anyway, this is the thing that I want you to accept. When your grandpa passed away he transferred the power he has left, to you. Now this is your time, you are the next man. What we have to do now is find a way to get the second crystal back and kill the one who took it, and who conquered this world years ago”
“Excuse me Kei why is this house not in their control yet?” I wondered
“Because it is not visible in the naked eye, but if you're wondering why you can see it is because I have let you see it. Oh and also they can’t see us when we’re inside.”
Chapter 7:
We, Kei and I, trained for at least a month and waited for the right moment.
Our plan was to save a village that was near us and then plan another way to defeat the king.
“Now’s the time” I said to Kei, hiding.
We Kei informed the people that we were going to attack and when they hear a shout they have to run to the far side of the village to safety.
“Run!!!” I shouted. After that second we were attacked.
We countered an attack and then battled enemy after enemy.
We all won the battles, but then there is this one…
“Hahhahahahah! Don’t be happy if you had just defeated those weaklings, be happy if you ever defeat me!” the last monster said with a deep voice.
He had a gigantic axe and is like a minotaur, but bigger. I guess anything could happen in here but I still have to fight, to help the people and grant my grandpa’s last wish.
“You can do it grandson.” Says a an old man, it was my grandfather! “Just go and save those people for me. Just read some of the spells in the book that I’m giving you”
Then again I transformed, I had a cane and also a book. But this time I am not controlled.
“Lingchi!” I shouted.
After I shouted that he, the monster got cuts all around him.
“Aghgrrhg” he cried.
“Final blow, Nemurenai akuma!”
Then he was….Dragged down to hell.
After all of that, the villagers were happy but this will not last, this is just the beginning.
