This week in reading we looked at poem and as a group of two or three to read it. We chose a poem titled "No Sun" . It was fun reading it with my group/friends and it was fun reading it in a Darth Sidious voice. The processes was fun too, we had many bloopers. Anyway here are the videos.

"My 6 words challenge"

This week in writing we've been learning about doing the 6 word challenge. It is a challenge where you make a story only using 6 words. It is challenging, because you have to choose you words carefully, and make sure it sounds right. But on the other end it's fun making them. I did four kinds of 6 words topic. The first one is about a video that we watched, the second and third one is about two of the three pictures that our teacher showed us and the last one is about a random topic. Here they are.

W.A.L.T create a model that shares something we have learnt about our mystery

This term as you all know we've been learning about mysteries around the world. Also I talked about making a sculpture on another blog post that I made about my mystery. Here it is! Vann, Jullien and I made these sculptures, they we're fun and also hard to make. But they turn out to be great. We needed to shape the head of the "alien" using paper with glue then when we thought it was good enough, we started to paint it. Yet when we started to paint it we saw some huge bumps. What we did then was got some tissue and paint to stick them too the body and head to cover the lumps, and it worked! Then after that we just added some details to it.  Anyway here are some photos of them.

"Aliens?!" Exist?!

As I you guys know, I've been learning about the "Roswell UFO Incident", but now I've made a video of a speech that we are presenting to school/class. It was really fun doing it and I learnt a lot about aliens and UFO's and I hope you will too. Here is the video enjoy!

Roswell UFO?!

This term we've been learning at different kinds of mysteries that are unsolved or was solved but it took a long time for scientist or researchers to answer/solve. As you know I chose to look deeper for the Roswell Incident and I found this information and turned it into a DLO with Khush and Vann, which you should take a look at their blog. We also made a comic strip and made a video with it. Anyway, here it is!

"UFO" TimeLine

This term we've been learning about unsolved mysteries of the world. I choose the "Roswell Incident" where apparently a "UFO" crashed. Then after the years the Air Force said that the "UFO" was only a weather balloon that they experimented on. After that, I made some presentations about it, but I just wanted to post this one. In this DLO, I also added some of the "UFO" sighting through out the years. This was really exciting  and I really liked it, learning about "UFO's" and when they started to appear. But I think, next time I ever do a DLO maybe I need to put a bit more detail to it. Now after this Ako Ngatahi is  going to do handmade DLO to put in the blog and I'm really excited to show what me and my group are making/made.

W.A.L.T- Divide w/ Remainders

This strategy is also another review about working out Division. In this video I will teach you about 3 to 2 strategy about working division out. The one that I mostly used in this video is really easy and can work most of any division problems, I really like it. Any way have a nice, happy day bye!

W.A.L.T Multiply Multiple Digits

This week we are learning to multiply multiple digits. This strategy might be hard at first, that you won't even get it, but when you get used to it, it would be really easy. This strategy would work when the both numbers that your multiplying are in the tens or more. This video is about 9 mins so you might get bored so maybe get a snack before watching the video or just skip to the important part. I really like this method because it not that simple and is a bit challenging. Anyway have a nice day, bye!

Beyond the Lines!

At the start of this term we started to do a short story about a video that we watched, "Beyond the Lines". It was about two kids that were trapped in the war, to see the full story, click video. After, when we finished the story we had to make it in a DLO not just a DLA. DLA means there is no sight, sound or motion, we had to put those things to make this into a DLO, so what I did was made it in Book Creator  . This was a bit of a scary/sad story because there were people dying and did not see their family anymore, but anyway I hope you'll enjoy it, bye!

Mascots of War

In these weeks of the term we've been learning more about Anzac day. First what we needed to do is to pick a topic about the Anzac/WW1. I choose the mascots of the war, and then we had to do a presentation about it and here it is. I choose three of the mascots and drew them in paper, I also gave a bit of information below them. I liked doing the presentation especially the drawing, it was abit of a difficult process though.Maybe what I need to do next time is maybe put more information on my presentation.

Success Criteria

Investigate this further. 

Then choose a mascot/mascots that was or were used in war. 

After that create a DLO about it.

Alien Wanted!

This term Ako Ngatahi started a topic about mysteries. They were mysteries of the world that are still unsolved. There were many interesting mysteries, but I choose the "Roswell "UFO" Mystery". It is a mystery about a "UFO" sighting that was in Roswell. I did many research on this and I found out that there we're 500+ ex-soldiers that saw this event, and it the event was about 5 hours long. Then after our research we had to do a wanted poster about it, in Google drawings. The poster needed to include a bit of information about it a self made picture and of course the "Reward". I learnt many things about it and it was really fun, now I have to try to solve this mystery.

W.A.L.T Use Written Form to Solve Multiplication

This strategy/method is a review of what we did last year it was using the written form to solve multiplication problems. It is a really easy method, easy to understand and also to learn. In my thought it is the most easiest method to solve multiplication so far. Any way have a very nice day, bye!

W.A.L.T Multiply in Parts

Today We are learning to multiply in parts. If you don't use this strategy yet or you didn't learnt it yet here it is. It is one of the easiest method when answering a multiplication problem, you can do this method in any problem you want but in only needs to be in multiplication. Anyway, bye!
