This week we learnt about how to add equivalent fractions. This is the DLO that will show you how to do it. It is quite difficult at first, but when you get the hang of it it's really easy.
I'm really sorry that I didn't do a Screencastify, but I will make one in the next week but anyways, bye!
W.A.L.T- Add Equivalent Fractions
P.k
Here is the first question
¾ + 8/12 =
First, what we need to do is to understand the question or summarize it.
So for this we need to look at the two denominators. Because the denominators are different it’s really hard to answer the question.
Now, we need to see if you can multiply the smaller denominator to be equal to the bigger one, also multiply the smaller numerator too.
In this we will have.
9/12 + 8/12 =
In this time we can add them easily because the both denominators are the same
9/12 + 8/12 = 1 5/12
This is a method that you can use, if the denominators in your question is in the multiplication table it is in.
For example:
4, 8, 12, 16, 20 and so on.
My next step could be:

Anyway have a good day and bye!
