What is the Filipino culture?

This term, we had a topic in Kete about Turangawaewae(a place where I stand) and also about different cultures that people have in class. Some presented things about their culture like the Thai buddies. For those of you that doesn't know, we had Thailand students come here and experience how kiwis learn in schools. While they were in this school they took the time to present things that they do in their culture, they showed us, Thai boxing and other stuff. Then near the end of the term, in week 9 Ms.Allan had an idea about if we could share some of our culture too,  which is Filipino.  So, in the middle of week 10 we started to create our scripts and prepare for the things that we were going to do. Mrs. Marijo, our Filipino/ESOL teacher help us to make this possible without her help, things wouldn't probably turn out as good as it did, so thanks for that Mrs.Marijo!

Any way, we did a presentation  while talking over it, we as in my co-members did the national dance of the Philippines which was originally "Tinkling" but was recently changed to "Carinosa". Also we showed the rest of the class games that we play in the Philippines. We had lots doing it, but at the same time we were really nervous too, even though I already presented in front of lots of people before. Here are some of the pictures from  yesterday, April 12.
