Science Roadshow 2018!

Wednesday, 28th of November 2018, which is today; Hornby High School has put up a science roadshow, which they then presented us with experiments that we can work and play around with. Not only that but they also introduced us to some knowledge that we might have not known before. One of the first thing that they talked about is temperature, which is simply hot and cold.  They explained that lowering temperatures(cold) slow down the movement of particles and molecules, not only that but they also taught us that there is a limit on how cold it could be(which is -273Co). Moving on to the heat,  the opposite will occur instead of slowing the molecules down, they speed it up; also we now know that there is no exact maximum temperature on how hot it could get.
After the demos that they performed, we were of the explore many experiments that were placed around the rooms across the learning street(which is a sort of like a corridor). I could not say or describe all of them because all of us will be bored by then; however, there were a few that stood out for me, one of which is where you can observe different sound waves and where you can examine the movement waves of light through prisms and mirrors.
Not long after looking around, we were called back to watch another presentation, but then about our senses, how it affects you and how you know that you are alive, etc. Moments after, sadly it was ended and then back to work. Though now I do feel refreshed and ready for the day!

All in all, I learnt a lot and also had fun, win, win. I will be looking forward to being able to participate in the next roadshow for 2019!
