Today, 26th of September, the yr 7s to year 10s got their market day which if you were following my blog post, it is when groups sell different kinds of products and learn more about how to run a business. Here is a brief explanation of what happened today:
My company was, I'd say pretty successful, we could've made more Croquembouche maybe even a hundred instead of just 30 because they sold pretty quickly. My favourite part of it was when we sold our products, I also really liked when we had to persuade people to buy our product and the last part that was probably the best part of my day; it was when we helped my friends who were in the other groups sell their products.
If I did this again I would probably change the product next time, into something that could be made fast and in which the ingredients will be cheaper, some of the products that are on my mind are, either empanada or churros.
I am a student at in Uru MÄnuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Wow Axle! I am so impressed with your wonderful ideas. I thought croquembouche was exotic, but now you are thinking Mexican food! How cool! I look forward to seeing what you create next year. You worked so hard on the croquembouche and I am impressed with the commitment you showed to your group and your product.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see you reflecting on the pros and cons and what you could do to improve next time. I know you have been talking about Growth Mindset, and that is a perfect example of having a 'can do' attitude!
Well done!

Kia ora Axle! I really enjoyed seeing your group work together in the lead up to Market Day. You showed excellent work ethic and were very organised. Your croquembouche was very popular and certainly tasted delicious. I like how you reflected on the whole process, identifying what you could do differently next time. I look forward to seeing what you create for Market Day next year! Awesome work.

Well done Axle. How much profit did you make? That would have felt great to sell out of your croquembouche! I'm sure that the others groups appreciated your help. You have reflected well and will no doubt come up with something even better next year!
